When our own Cory Walpole was approached by the Manitoba Music Educators Association (MMEA) to volunteer for the committee responsible for creating a poster and ad in support of music education, he couldn’t help but say yes. After all, Cory has a soft spot for any initiatives that help our local youth. The FaQtory joined Cory in his commitment by agreeing to become a sponsor of the initiative.

The MMEA is a not-for-profit special area group of the Manitoba’s Teacher Society. It represents music educators across Manitoba including the Manitoba Band Association, Manitoba Choral Association, Manitoba Classroom Guitar Association, and Manitoba Orff Chapter.

The goal of the poster (which will be displayed in all Manitoba schools as of this Fall) and newspaper ad is to help raise awareness of the value of quality music programs in our Manitoba schools, to help promote the value of music education in Manitoba, to encourage lifelong learning, and to highlight the value of music and arts in our lives.

With the approval of the committee, The FaQtory wrote the headline “The Sweet Sound of Success”, coordinated a photo shoot of several prominent Manitobans, and incorporated the main message that “Active participation in music enhances quality of life, personal growth, leadership skills, physical and mental health, and the pursuit of excellence.” Click here to see the final result.

Along with the MMEA, The FaQtory would like to thank the following participants for their time and support of this project: Glenn Penner P. Eng., Stuart Murray, Don Streuber, Ted Hlynsky, C.A., Doug Webster, CST. Ryan Cadotte, Garth Smorang, Alana Warnick, Dave Christianson, Elmer Hildebrand, Ida Albo, CST. Ann Howitt, Caroline Ksiazek, Irene Merie, David Northcott, City Councillor Thomas Steen, Alexander Mickelthwate, Norva Riddell, Hon. Theresa Oswald, Dr. Leah Bjarnarson, Ginette Lavack Walter, Lisa Cefali, Ray St. Germain, Alison Wilson, Kellee Stewart Schuff, Jim Carr, Flori Ens, Sylvia Kuzyk, Gail Asper, Jennifer Jones, Mark Chipman, Dr. Robert Malech, Dr. Burton Abbott, and Guoyan Du.

Rome wasn't built in a day and your brand shouldn't be either!

Whether it’s your logo, print ad, brochure, display, website, radio, outdoor or TV ad, business card, corporate folder, office space, vehicle graphics, corporate video or letterhead (I could keep going), giving your agency time to think each piece through will allow them to come up with the best solution.

All of the items mentioned above leave an impression and are part of your brand experience. Sending your Agency an email saying you need something tomorrow doesn’t allow them to think through all of the angles and possible options that will best represent your company.

Do you want your brand to looked rushed? Of course not. Therefore the best plan is to allow time to build your brand.
